CAVATINA FRIENDS

CAVATINA Friends are the lifeblood of our organisation. We have many generous Friends without whom we could not maintain the same number of school programmes, family activities and the CAVATINA Ticket Scheme.

Become a CAVATINA Friend and enjoy the membership of a unique 'Club' of chamber music lovers.

CAVATINA Friends can:

Ensure that Chamber Music continues to be a vibrant form of music in the next generation.
Attend School Concerts/Presentations organised by CAVATINA
Recommend a school for a visit by a CAVATINA ensemble
Participate in specially organised Friends’ Concerts
Take a closer interest in the work of CAVATINA by becoming a volunteer helper in specific areas of our work
Host a concert in your home
Sponsor a concert for young musicians

Three ways of giving …

Donations
CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust is able to reclaim income tax paid on subscriptions and donations so long as you sign a Gift Aid Declaration provided on the Membership Form attached.

Legacies and bequests
Legacies and bequests can contribute greatly to the work of CAVATINA. Legacies to charities are exempt from inheritance tax.

Gifts of Shares
Gifts of shares provide a particularly tax-efficient way of giving to charity for individuals who have capital gains tax liability. Income tax relief on the value of the gift can be claimed by the donor and there is no need to pay Capital Gains Tax.

AMBASSADORS

We have a number of Ambassadors in Universities and Conservatoires.
Their role is becoming more and more important to the success of attracting students to chamber music concerts. Their involvement with CAVATINA leads to opportunities to promote and play in concerts at their place of learning.

CAVATINA has a FACEBOOK Group.  Students can access the site
to find out what is going on in their area.

JUNIOR FRIENDS

Young people who show a keen interest in Chamber Music might like to become CAVATINA Junior Friends.

To qualify for membership, applicants must be able to show that they attend Chamber Music concerts and/or play regularly in ensembles.

CAVATINA Junior Friends can receive, on request, a regular update of concerts in the area where they live or study. They can attend CAVATINA events as volunteer helpers and meet the artists following each concert.

Altogether it provides an opportunity to meet other Friends with similar interests.
